Privacy Policy
At Oi Technologies, we believe privacy should be the default. We work to maintain the highest standards of security, transparency and integrity, and we take the protection of your Personal Data seriously.
We collect only what we need to provide the services you ask for, and we handle it with great care. Any information we receive about you is subject to strict controls to minimise the risk of misuse, including unauthorised access or disclosure.
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
Application-specific policies. Some of our applications have their own privacy policies because of their unique features. Please refer to them where listed:
If your application is not listed above, this Privacy Policy applies to your use of it.
Transparency Report: We also publish a Transparency Report on our website with information about government requests for user data and how we responded.
1. Who We Are
Oi Technologies is a technology company registered and operating in Bangladesh. We build mobile applications, websites, software and development services.
2. What We Mean by "Personal Data"
“Personal Data” means any information that directly or indirectly identifies you as an individual. This includes, for example:
- Your name, phone number, email address and physical address.
- Your IP address, browser type and operating system, when combined with other data.
- Transactional data, user IDs or contact details combined with customer identifiers.
3. Who This Policy Applies To
This Policy applies to information we collect and use about:
- Visitors to our website, even if they do not register.
- Individuals and companies who register for our services.
- Active users of our applications and software.
- Anyone who contacts us by telephone, email, social media or post.
4. Our Current Data Practices
Our mobile applications do not collect, store or transmit personal data from your device. They work locally and have no access to your contacts, files, location or other personal information.
The only data we receive is what you choose to send us, for example when you email us or submit a support form.
We follow a data minimisation approach: we collect only what is strictly necessary. When you pay for our services, your bank, mobile financial services provider or payment gateway shares with us only the details needed to confirm your payment (see Section 5). If we introduce analytics tools in the future, we may receive data from them, strictly with your consent.
5. How We Collect Your Data

Voluntary data | Information in surveys, feedback forms or support requests | Responding to queries and improving service quality |
Usage and analytics | Pages visited, time spent, features used | Improving our products and user experience |

Payment details | Transaction ID, amount, date, payer name and payment method (Pay on Delivery, bank transfer or Bangla QR) | Confirming payments, issuing invoices and receipts, processing refunds, and keeping tax and accounting records |
Please note: We do not currently store or process large-scale user data or use third-party cloud storage. We do not ask for or store your online banking passwords, PINs or one-time passwords, and we do not collect card details.
6. Future Features
If we launch new applications or features that collect, store or process Personal Data (including user accounts), we will do the following before any collection begins:
- Update this Privacy Policy to explain what data is collected and why.
- Notify you clearly through our website, in-app notification or email (if you have provided one).
- Obtain your explicit, freely given consent.
- Let you withdraw consent at any time, without affecting your use of the core basic features of our apps.
7. How We Use Your Data
We use Personal Data only for legitimate purposes:

8. Storage, Security and Breach Notification
- Storage: We currently store no user data from our apps. Data that stays on your device is neither stored nor accessed by us. Support emails you send us are kept on our own secure, password-protected servers in Bangladesh until your query is resolved. We will not use public or third-party cloud storage without prior notice and your explicit consent.
- Encryption: Where possible we use encryption, such as SSL/TLS for data in transit and disk encryption for stored data.
- Access control: Only authorised personnel can access user data, strictly on a need-to-know basis.
- Breach notification: If a data breach compromises your Personal Data, we will notify affected users and the relevant authorities in Bangladesh within 72 hours of becoming aware of it.
9. Legal Requests for Your Data
If a court, law enforcement agency or government authority makes a legally valid request for your Personal Data, we will verify it and, to the extent the law permits:
- Notify you within 72 hours of receiving the request.
- Wait at least 7 days before disclosing anything, so you can challenge the request in court.
- Tell you who requested the data, what data was requested and when it will be disclosed.
We may disclose data without this notice or waiting period only where the law prohibits notification (for example, a gag order) or where there is an emergency involving a risk of death or serious physical harm. In such cases we will notify you as soon as we lawfully can.
We record these requests in our annual Transparency Report.
10. Data Retention
We keep Personal Data only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy or as Bangladeshi law requires.
- Active accounts: Data is kept while your account is active or until you ask us to delete it.
- Inactive users: If you stop using our services, we will securely delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable time, unless the law requires us to keep it (for example, financial records).
- Backups: Backups follow the same deletion rules and are not kept indefinitely.
